WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
Did you know that 55% of registered US nonprofits earned $0 income during 2009? That’s over 402,000 nonprofits that have, despite good intentions, failed to move beyond the start-up phase. This is, in large part, due to a lack of education and understanding about the nonprofit business model. Establishing a nonprofit does not have to be a precursor to giving. There are many other ways you can share your time, talents, and treasures and still make a difference.
 
Charitable work is supposed to feel good. Starting a nonprofit can be a stressful endeavor that can rob you of your energy, money, and passion if you're not prepared. Before you decide to take the nonprofit route, learn about your other options. You may find that there is an easier way to add meaning and purpose to your life.
